Mission of CITE-NY

The Consortium of Information and Telecommunications Executives - New York (CITE-NY) is a non-profit organization of African American and other employees of Verizon Communications - New York. We provide employee advocacy, issue awareness and professional development within the company. We also serve as a resource for the African-American community at large.

Goals of CITE-NY

One of the goals of CITE-NY is to foster an environment in which upward mobility and economic development can be realized by our members and the communities we serve. CITE-NY nurtures the spirit of family, the act of sharing, all for the purpose of unity. CITE-NY is committed to providing its members with the skills and opportunities to excel further in their career at Verizon. CITE-NY is an affiliate of the Consortium of Information and Telecommunications Executives, Inc. (CITE®), the parent organization that serves all employees across the Verizon footprint.

In addition, CITE-NY is committed to helping deserving and needy high school seniors by awarding scholarships to help them defray the mounting costs of a college education. Our members volunteer their time to teach basic computer skills to the youth and their parents at the James Weldon Johnson Community Center in Harlem.
